DEFENDING champions Marine have a very tough task of stopping runaway table leaders APR as the National Basketball League continues at Camp Kigali this morning. Both sides have scores to settle today.

Much as APR are desperate to showcase their quality after last season’s rugged display, Marine are equally anxious to make amends after dropping points against last year’s play-off finalists CSK.

But for APR, champions in 2005 and 2006 and with a 100% record in the league so far, they are favorites for today’s tie. Ahead of the clash, APR’s coach Cliff Owuor said that the team is not about to break its winning streak.

"They can bring it on because we are ready for the challenge.

"I don’t think Marine have a chance against us. We shall beat them hands down,” the Kenyan shrugged.

Last year, Marine and APR shared the spoils. APR won the first tie before a massive comeback for the Gisenyi-based club in the second round.
