APR and Amavubi Stars goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli and his AS Kigali counterpart Regis Ingabire are set to return to Rwanda in a fortnight after completing a special treatment in Algeria following injuries they picked up this year.

Ndoli got injured while playing for Amavubi against Congo Brazzaville on July 20, while his counterpart Regis Ingabire was injured during Caf confederation cup tie between AS Kigali and Moroccoan side Difaa El Djadida in March.

Ferwafa spokesperson, Moussa Hakizimana told this paper that the duo have recovered and will continue rehabilitation in Rwanda.

"They underwent surgery, they have completed the first session of rehabilitation in Algeria and so they will return for the last session of rehabilitation,” Hakizimana said

Moussa Hakizimana added that local medical staff is able and ready to help both keepers return to full fitness.

The duo travelled to Algeria six weeks ago thanks to a partnership between Rwanda Football Federation (Ferwafa) and their Algerian counterparts. Ndoli and Ingabire were operated on by French specialists working for the Algerian Football Federation.

Only transport fee and mission fees were paid by Ferwafa from the Ministry of Sports and Culture to secure the duo’s passage, and the rest was taken care of by the Algerian federation which has an agreement with Ferwafa to treat Rwandan players with severe injuries.

Other players who have benefited from the partnership include;Rayon Sports central defender FaustinUsengimana, APR midfielder Eric Nsabimana, AS Kigali’s Ibrahim Itangishaka and striker Farouk Ruhinda.
