Tom Close to launch two albums

Thomas Muyombo aka Tom Close may have been quiet for some time, but the singer/songwriter is now set to return to the music scene with two brand new R&B albums.

The musician-cum-doctor will launch Isi and Ndakubona albums at Kigali Serena Hotel tomorrow, December 6.

Both albums feature a number of love tracks and showcase Close’s love-inspired style of songwriting. The 10 and 13 song albums, respectively, feature solo and different collaborations with Kina Music musicians.

"It’s a good feeling at this moment. It’s an achievement worth celebrating,” Close told The New Times.

The father of one is regarded a force on the music scene and he has stood the test of time. The singer has six albums to his name, including Subeza, Ntubanyurwa, KomezaUtsinde and MbabariraUgaruke.

The Ndacyagukundastar encouraged music lovers and his fans in particular to attend his concert.

"The music is much more experienced and the quality has improved. Fans should come out and support us because that is like the only way they can give back.”

The concert’s full lineup will also include performances by Abdul Mukanyanga, Intore Masamba, Knowless, Dream Boys and Christopher Muneza.

The 28-year-old shot to fame in 2007 with his hit single Mbwira featuring The Ben. Some of his popular songs include Kuki, Sibeza, Winsiga , Sinzigerankureka , Ntibanyurwa , Mbwirayego, and Ndakubona, among others.
