Describe you fashion style?
I always think about the occasion and the audience. I like a suit and tie because they boost my confidence. In my line of workyou need that. At times I work with young audiences;with them I prefer a fitting t-shirt and jeans or khaki pants. I want to be smart and casual.
And how about checkeredshirts, they go well with jeans?
I don’t feel that combination - it doesn’t go well with me. A fitting t-shirt and Jeans help me achieve a smart and casual look.
So what brands of suits do you like best?
I like tailor made suits. A suit that fits is the best and the only way you can get one that fits your body measurements is by consulting a tailor.
That means you have a tailor?
Yeah, my mum.She makes the best suits for me. She knows what I like and the suits that fit me best. There’s also a skilled tailor in town called Jean Claude that I also go to, he is currently based in Kimironko.
What’s your favourite accessory?
I’m not exactly an accessories man. I have watches but I keep them safely at home and I don’t fancy neck or hand chains (bling bling). I don’teven know how I will wear a wedding ring but what I like most is a belt, it has to be pure leather and sleek on the buckle.
Do you have an umbrella?
Yeah definitely, I can’t emcee when I’m wet, it rains a lot sometimes. I have one in my car and several at the office.
Do you go for second-hand clothes?
Yeah, there are good second clothes on sale, especially shoes. You can get some durable shoes in second hand shops. It’s a way of giving back to society by buying from the dealers.
Any news anchor you look up to in terms of what they wear?
All news anchors I know dress up well, it’s a must in this line of work. But I advise people to wear what’s comfortable and brings out the best in them, this will give them some confidence.
