Editor,
Refer to Mwakenya’s commentary; ‘we should stand up against western media’s double standards,’ (The New Times, November 25).
The English have a saying ‘that once beaten twice shy’; we should not get tired of facing the evil that has ever consumed our country and people, neither should we accept to be made biological substances.
Some countries have learnt to feed us on destructive substances in the name of freedoms.
‘Freedoms’ that will take us back to our painful past is not simply acceptable.
Given what we have gone through and where we have reached in a record time, it’s obvious that this success has become a pain in the neck in some quarters.
The dignity and socio-economic progress Rwandans are enjoying today did not come on a silver platter; rather it came at a high cost. Let us carry on with the struggle. We shall win.
