As the festive Christmas season sets in, gospel music will dominate Kigali’s entertainment scene. On Sunday, Beauty for Ashes will hold a concert at the Nyarutarama based Christian Life Assembly Church, CLA.
The band will be launching the remix of the song, Siriprize, from the 2011 popular track- Siriprize that rocked gospel music fans. The remix features famous local gospel singers Aline Gahongayire, Serge Iyamuremye and Bright Patrick.
The concert titled- Hari Ayandi Mashimwe, will feature several gospel artistes, including Dudu Niyukuri, and Serge Iyamuremye from Burundi.
The band’s frontman Olivier Kavutse, said, "We decided to organise something for our fans. They were asking what we’re up to. So this is a way of saying hey, here we are!”
The five-man band was founded by Kavuste, who is the lead singer and acoustic guitarist and, other members include, Olivier Habiyaremye (electric guitar), Ben Iyakaremye (bass guitar), Christian Bizimana (keys) and Maxime Niyomwungeri (drums).
The concert starts at 4p.m and tickets go for Rwf2000 and Rwf5000 for the ticket and album CD.
