Last Sunday, Facek and CSK Centre Scholaire marked 10 years of existence. The celebrations that attracted parents, learners, old boys and girls of the school, teachers and well wishers were held at the school grounds in Kabeza, Kigali.
Speaking at the function, Julie Mugabekazi, the headmistress of the school, said the school was founded by parents in order to impart their children with the knowledge and values that are accepted by the community.
"Being an educator is not simple but if someone is committed the end result completely transforms students into useful citzens that can also help the society,” she said.
Mugabekazi advised both teachers and parents to continue working towards developing similar institutions.
The school currently boasts of 449 pupils (205 boys and 244 girls) that have gone through its system.
Pieiro Ufitempuhwe, the chairperson of the parents committee, said: "The school has transformed society and no parent has complained about failure.”
