It was an enchanting night of incredible performances by upcoming artistes, as Rise Up talent artiste awards talent search thrilled revelers in Gatsibo, Eastern Province, on Saturday, November 22. 

Kiramuruzi main hall was packed with ecstatic revelers who danced and cheered on as the artistes took to the stage.

The competition was supposed to take place in two phases; the first stage was to select the winners from the district level and the top winners at the provincial level. However, due to some technical problems, the competition was only held at the district level.

Speaking to The New Times, Joseph Bagabo, the organiser of Ruta awards said, "We are glad that many fans came to watch our talent search and at the district level a total of 17 participants made it to the final rounds at the province level.”

The Ruta talent search will continue in other parts of the country next month before heading to Kigali for the last leg.
