Musanze Football Club have made former Amavubi assistant coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga their top target for the club’s vacant coaching role, according to the Club’s Secretary General, Moussa Masumbuko.
"We haven’t contacted him yet but we are all in agreement that he is the best candidate for the job. We will open talks soon because we need a coach before the second round of the National Football League starts,” Masumbuko told this paper.
The Northern Province club failed to keep their former coach, Godfrey Okoko who got a better offer from Mukura Victory Sport two weeks ago. Okoko replaced Jean Baptiste Kayiranga who was sacked after a string of poor results that saw the Southern Province club relegated to bottom of the league table.
Meanwhile Musanze has appointed Nyandwi Idrissa, who was formerly an assistant coach as interim coach and also assigned technical director Rafiki Nshimiyimana to be his assistant.Musanze are 6th on the league table after 7 games.
