Big Brother Africa Hotshots’ heartthrob Frankie arrived back home yesterday at midday aboard RwandAir from Johannesburg, South Africa.

Fans chanted "Frankie” as the multi-talented Hotshot emerged from the arrivals gate at Kigali International Airport.

Frankie, real name Frank Rukundo, was dressed in a trendy black suit and was welcomed by his family, friends and fans.

The 33-year-old was the eighth Hotshot to leave the House with three weeks left for the show to end, which effectively meant that Rwanda is officially out of the running for the Hotshot title bid. A week earlier, the other Rwandan BBA representative had also been evicted.

Frankie was evicted on November 9 alongside Namibian representative Permithias.

"I would like to thank everyone who supported me during my stay in the Big Brother house. I tried to represent Rwanda to the best of my ability,” said Frankie upon his arrival.

"There were many temptations and obstacles in the house as each housemate was vying for the grand prize and also trying to get on the other’s nerves but I tried to show our culture and upbringing and also where Rwanda was headed,” he added.

Frankie knows he missed the chance to win the show’s grand cash prize of US$300,000 (about Rwf200m) but believes that the continent’s biggest reality show opened doors for him.

During his stay in the Big Brother House, Frankie displayed unique talent, from singing to dancing, modeling and acting.

"The housemates were using conflicts as a game plan and they tried to lure Frankie into their stupid games. For example, Tayo tried to make Frankie angry and also the two girls Sipe and Ellah tried to bring Frankie into their fray,” said Sheila Ndegeya, Frankie’s younger sister.

Sarah Rwizihiriza, a fan, said Frankie was not as lively and entertaining as the other Hotshots and this may have caused his eviction from the house.
