The National U-23 volleyball team’s chances of qualifying for next year’s World youth Volleyball championship in Brazil are over after losing a third consecutive game last night.

Algeria defeated Rwanda 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) in a game that the national team needed to win to stand a chance to being one of the two countries representing Africa in Brazil.

In the other matches, Tunisia beat Libya 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-15) while Egypt saw off Morocco 3-0 (25-23, 25-14 and 25-18).

Rwanda plays their last game today against Morocco. The national side has just one win, against Libya in their opening game.

Tunisia and Egypt, which have won all their games, will represent Africa in the FIVB Men’s U23 World Championships.
