Editor,
Refer to the article ‘RMC got it wrong on BBC’ (Friday November 7). The issue is not who closed or ordered the closure of the BBC Kinyarwanda service, the reality remains that the latter had crossed the line and stood in pain zone of Rwandans.
So for Rwanda Media Commission (RMC) or Rwanda Utility Regulatory Agency (Rura), it is a matter of harmonising and sitting together to deeply analyse who is really mandated to do what, and what would have been the right channel (in the BBC case) to avoid such acerbic arguments at the time when Rwandans needed a clear course of action.

I get confused when I hear RMC making unnecessary noise concerning the suspension of BBC Kinyarwanda. I am utilitarian who believes in majority utility and in my inner conscious I am convinced that the BBC was giving disutility to Rwandans and that’s why Rura took a step to put an end to that.
Did RMC wake up and take a step to do the same? I don’t think so. Then why wake up in deep snore and create unnecessary moves superimposing that they agree with the cause but disagree with the procedure? Do they know how Rwanda would be affected if Rura was to act like snail?
