APR HANDBALL head coach Vianney Munyangondo is optimistic that his side can go on to lift the Carré d’As tournament set for today at Kimisagara youth sports centre.
The one-day tournament will attract the top four clubs in the league with league champions Police playing second runners up ES Kigoma while first runners-up APR take on fourth-placed Gicumbi.
The winners in the two semi-finals will face each other in the final. Vianney Munyangondo believes that his side is good enough to win the trophy.
"We won once and lost once against Gicumbi and Police, respectively, in the course of the league, so it’s not as if we fear any team,” he said adding that his players have had enough rest and are in good shape to win one last trophy this season.
After the tournament, league champions Police will officially be handed the trophy.
