NYAMAGABE — The German Development Service in Rwanda (DED), through its Civil Peace Service (ZFD), has launched a book on conflict management.

The book titled "Tuvuge twiyubaka’ expected to foster reconciliation among the Rwandan society, was launched last week at Peak Family Center hall in Nyamagabe District.
In an interview with The New Times, the Coordinator of ZFD, Gerd Scheuerpflug said that among their priories was providing psycho-social assistance to Genocide survivors in partnership with IBUKA, an umbrella of the genocide survivors.

"ZDF specialists are developing training, providing capacity building and psycho-social support to vulnerable groups such as orphans and widows,” he said. 

According to the Director of Tuvuge Twiyubaka, Hilarie Ntawulishira, the 53-page booklet has helped many residents in the district to reconcile and manage conflicts.

While launching the book, Ntawulishira said the publication was made possible by several people including Genocide survivors, motorcyclists, Child headed families, HIV victims, former prostitutes, to name a few.

The association has also organised training on trauma, HIV/Aids awareness and conflict management to help beneficiaries.

The district Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Emmanuel Murangwa, lauded ZFD’s activities in the area and appealed to them to extend their services to more residents countrywide.
