Four clubs will take part in this year’s Carre d’AS tournament slated for November 8 at Kimisagara grounds, according to the Rwanda Handball Federation.
The tournament is meant for clubs that finished in the top four positions in the league.
League winners Police will take on Kigoma who finished third, while APR, the runners up will face Gicumbi that finished fourth.
The winners of the two games will meet in the final.
Police won the 2012 edition after beating APR in the final, however the tournament was not organised last year due to financial constraints.
Ferwahand Secretary General, Jean Paul Ngarambe, told this paper that he expects competitive games with teams keen to beat Police which won a record 4 trophies last season.
"Although Police had a very successful season this year, there was improvement from the other teams and they will be keen to beat Police,” Ngarambe said.
This is the fourth time the tournament is being held. APR won the inaugural tournament in 2009, while Police dominated the last two editions
