The government yesterday announced a reduction in fuel pump prices effective today.

The Kigali base pump prices for both petrol and diesel must not exceed Rwf960 per litre effective today, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industry last evening.

The petroleum products up to yesterday cost Rwf1,010 per litre.

The reduction in fuel prices is mainly due to reduction in oil prices on the international market in October 2014, the statement, signed by Trade and Industry minister Francois Kanimba, added.
