The Rugby federation has set November 9th as the day for electing a new executive board.

Positions that will be voted for include President, Vice- President, Secretary, the treasurer and disciplinary committee.

These will be assisted by the disciplinary board comprising of three members and three supervisors and two advisors.

The Secretary General of the Rugby Federation, Janvier Ugeziwe said interested candidates should be nominated by a club but ruled himself out of running for a second term.

"I have achieved what I set out to do and that is getting the federation a legal status which was a cardinal requirement by the Ministry of Sports and also having a full time employee to help them run day to day activities in the federation,” Ugeziwe said.

Richard Andwati Omwela, former Chairman of Kenya Rugby Union and now working as a legal Consultant of the Confederation of African Rugby [CAR] has been invited to oversee the elections.
