THE National Basketball Federation plans to organise a veterans’ tournament slated for November 9 to December 9 at Amahoro indoor stadium and Cercle Sportif court respectively.

Ferwaba secretary general Richard Mutabazi said the tournament is aimed at encouraging senior citizens that include government officials and corporate people to continue supporting the sport.

He said: "We have a large following of basketball fans which includes former basketball players, government officials and people in the corporate world who we want to engage for support.”

This tournament will be a platform to not only play basketball but also talk about the sport and seek ways of developing it,” Mutabazi added. The teams that will take part in the month long tournament include Patriots, CSK BBC, Musanze BC, Ferwaba Team, Espoir BBC, 30-Plus BBC, Kigali Basketball Club and United Generation Basketball.
