APR coach Ljubomir Petrovic will not have four first team players during Sunday’s anticipated fierce derby against arch rivals Rayon Sports.
The champions who were held to a 1-1 draw by Marines on Tuesday will be missing defenders Emery Bayisenge, Michel Rusheshangoga and midfielders Andrew Buteera and Charles Tibingana.
Right back Rusheshangoga and central defender Bayisenge are sitting their A’level exams while the duo of Tibingana and Buteera are still in the process of formalising their nationality status.
The National Football Federation (Ferwafa) recently released a list of players who had acquired Rwandan nationality illegally. Tibingina and Buteera were on that list and APR which only uses Rwandan players has not used the duo since the season started.
A worried Ljubomir Petrovic, head coach of APR told this paper that he is working on a plan to mitigate the risks of losing so many players for such a crucial game.
"It is not easy not to have one first team player for such a big match. We are missing four which is very difficult to cope with but we are working on a plan,” Petrovic said refusing to reveal which plan he is working on.
