Fast rising dancehall star Eddy Kenzo will tomorrow, October 26, perform during the third 2014 Big Brother Africa eviction show.
For the past one year, Kenzo has been the most sought after Ugandan artiste on the international scene, with bookings out of the country almost every week.
Kenzo, real name Idrissa Musuz, was born as in Masaka in the central region of Uganda. He lost his mother at age five and would go on to live a street life for 13 years. After high school, he adopted his stage name Eddy Kenzo and began writing music.
In 2008, he was featured in the popular song ‘Yanimba’ by Mikie Wine. His breakthrough was in 2010 after the release of his song, ‘Stamina.’
He released the album ‘Ogenda Kunzisa’ in 2012.
In 2013, he released ‘Kamunguluze’ and toured the United States. The song ‘Sitya Loss’ became his most popular song to date, and a video of Ugandan boys dancing to the song went viral. Its success led to the launching of a petition to have the boys appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Kenzo released the album ‘Sitya Loss’ in May 2014.
