O Zone Club up for sale

Barely a year after opening for business, the Kigali City Tower based O Zone Club is up for sale, according to our snoops. Our snoops confirmed to us that O Zone has not been doing well which is one of the reasons why they introduced serving lunch at the place. However, the lunch venture also did little to increase their sales. After limping for quite some time and with the recent clamp down on night clubs over noise pollution, the owners have decided to sell it off. Our snoops continue to tell us that several people have submitted their bids but by the look of things, the group of guys that jointly own Top Chef Bar and Resto in Nyabugogo and Kaizen club in Kabeza might take over the place.

I can never  watch Safi performing – Knowless

It is common advice not to mix business with pleasure but when Knowless decided to date Urban Boyz’ Safi Madiba, who was her mentor, many saw them as a golden couple until they decided to break up and wash their dirty linen in public. It’s now three years since they broke up but if Knowless’ actions during last weekend’s Explosion Concert at Kigali Serena Hotel is anything to go by, then she hasn’t moved on. According to our snoops who attended the concert, when Urban Boyz took to the stage to perform, Knowless stormed out of the room and was overheard saying that it was heartbreaking to see Safi performing Barahurura, a song he composed after they broke up. As things go, the grapevine wonders if she’ll ever get over her ex-boyfriend.

Social Mula joins CB Records

Upcoming Afro beat singer and Salax awards nominee Social Mula has joined a new recording studio CB records after a long time doing music in various studios, according to our snoops.

Our snoops confirm that the newly established Nyamirambo based studio is already working with Social Mula on his upcoming album. Social Mula Joins CB Records where he reunites with his former boss Riderman who joined a few weeks ago.

Our snoops continue to tell us that other musicians are also set to join CB Records which boasts of some of the best producers in Kigali that include Livingstone, Ben Rugo and Jackson Dado.

Social Mula will also find Mani Martin, Jody Phibi, Tuyisenge and TBB who are also members of the studio.

Miss UR beauty pageant set for December

The wait might be finally coming to an end as news coming through the grapevine indicates that the new guild council at the Huye based University of Rwanda is planning a beauty pageant for Miss UR 2014/15. According to our scouts, the last time a beauty pageant was held at the university was in 2012 when Deborah Abiellah Isimbi emerged winner.

 However, the new guild council is determined to bring together girls from all UR colleges in what is billed to the biggest beauty show of the year. With anticipation levels rising among the ladies at the colleges, it remains to be seen if it will outshine the previous beauty pageants.
