Police Handball Club coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana has paid glowing tribute to his players for winning an unprecedented record four trophies in one season.

The champions lost just one game on the way to winning their third league title which was added to the Labour Day, Genocide commemoration and Liberation Day tournaments which they won without losing a single game.

"I am grateful to my players and management for their support throughout the season,” Ntabanganyimana said ahead of their last game of the season against University of Rwanda-Huye Campus.

Police team captain Dismas Turatsinze attributes their successful campaign to good organisation in the club.

"The club has a good structure where everyone knows his role and responsibilities. This helps players to concentrate without any distractions,” Turatsinze said.

Police Handball Club was founded in 2003 and since then they have won 12 trophies which include-3 league titles, 2 Heroes day crowns, 3 liberation day trophies, 1 Labour Day trophy, 1 genocide Commemoration trophy, one Africa Champions League trophy won in Morocco in 2005, and the 2006 East and central Africa Handball challenge cup which took place in Rwanda.
