Thumbs up to Presidents Paul Kagame and Uhuru Kenyatta!

Mobilisation of business leaders is an important step towards economic independence; creating business fraternity in the region will also determine our competitiveness.

It is an opportune time for business leaders in the region to brand East Africa to harness the political will of governments. It is high time business leaders change their attitude towards importing "no value” for value.

While it is important to do business for profit, it is an obligation to look into business ethics. This status offered to business leaders should equally place a "debt” to those who are in for "hide and seek” when it is about paying taxes.

This high profile meeting could equally emphasise intra-trade as a way to support local industrial base.
