Bishop Njenga from Kenya ended Rwanda’s only hope, St Joseph’s quest for a gold medal in girls’ football in the E.A School Championship title in a high tempo game played on Saturday played on Ferwafa’s artificial turf, Remera.

Pre-match favorites, St. Joseph were beaten 4-1 on penalties after the full time had ended goalless.

And in the spot kicks, only Mabana converted for the home team while Aline Uwamwezi and Yvette Mukandayisenga blasted their efforts over the cross bar.

Meanwhile, Uganda’s Kitende defended their boys’ title with a thrilling 3-2 victory over their bitter  home rivals old Kampala.
