Airtel Rwanda has appointed Indrajeet Kumar Singh the new marketing director for the telecom firm.

According to a statement from the firm, Singh has been the country head for usage and revenue at Airtel Networks Kenya for the past year and was previously at Essar Telecom in Nairobi.

"Singh has over 12 years experience in marketing, working with Bharti Airtel in India, Airtel Networks Kenya and Essar Telecom Kenya,” read the statement.

Singh will succeed Karanja Njoroge, who has headed the department since 2013.

While making the announcement, Airtel Rwanda managing director, Teddy Bhullar, said Singh’s charisma and result-oriented attitude is the ‘best fit’ to drive Airtel’s market growth in Rwanda.

Singh holds an MBA and a bachelor’s of commerce degree.
