Amb. Mitali.

Protais Mitali, the recently appointed envoy to Ethiopia, yesterday urged members of the Rwandan community in Addis to continue being good ambassadors of their country.

Mitali was speaking at an event to welcome him to his station.

"Representing our country here (Ethiopia) is a responsibility that we all share and I encourage you to continue the good work you are already doing - that of being good ambassadors,” he said.

The event was jointly hosted by the Rwandan community in Ethiopia and Rwanda Embassy.

The ambassador further called on the gathering to continue contributing to Rwanda's development efforts that are geared towards building a better future for the country.

The chairperson of the Rwandan community in Ethiopia, Chris Kayoshe, pledged to support the embassy in its work and to keep playing an active role in the development of their mother land.

More than 150 Rwandans living in Ethiopia turned out to welcome the ambassador.

Most Rwandans in Ethiopia work for international organisations including the African Union and the United Nations. Others are students enrolled in different institutions of higher learning.
