WHITE CLOUDS cricket club take on Queens of Victory CC in the ongoing women UAE Exchange and Express Money T20 league match on Saturday at Kicukiro oval.

Both teams go into today’s game tied on three points each having won their opening games and whoever wins would increase their hopes of reaching the semi-finals.

"We are going to play our second game against a very good side, so we need to be well prepared and ready for a tough challenge,” said Queens of Victory captain Jeanne d’ Arc Sibo.

She, however, noted that all the players are in good spirit and are ready to challenge White’s clouds and continue with their hunt for the trophy this season.

She added: "In the first match though we won but we had weakness in batting but we have worked on that and now we don’t want to repeat the same mistakes.”

Her counterpart at While White Clouds, Veronica Iriho, is also optimistic that they can go on to extend their tally to six points.

"If we go into the game and do the things we do in training, nothing will stop us from winning. It is surely going to be a tough game but we’re confident and, hopefully, we will win,” she said.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Challengers CC will come up against Kerala Hunters in the men’s 50-overs Premier League at the same ground.
