Traditional music artiste Hyacinth Hageni will release a video of his latest song entitled Ngwino hafi yanjye next week.

The 24-year-old is shooting the video with ION, a local advertising agency, that is behind some Tigo commercials.

"My new video is in the final stages of production. I usually take my time when making music because I want to give my fans the best quality.”

Hageni plays traditional music instruments, endigiri (one string violin), ikyembe (the thumb piano), inanga (zither) and umuduri (bow).

He says foreigners, especially the westerners, enjoy his music because it tells the Rwandan culture and history.

Hageni’s songs have featured on the Music Time In Africa- VOA programme.

He started singing at the age of 12. Hageni ,who is a student at Remera Hospitality Academy, is best known for songs such as I see, Without Peace, and HatariAmahoro.  He was among the artistes who featured at this year’s Kigali Up festival and Hobe Rwanda.
