The first glance at this sandwich will make your stomach growl. And the very first bite will give you reason to keep your mouth active.

According to Mebs Kara, the general manager of Accord Hotel/OC Pizza Bar and Grill, the Philly cheese steak sandwich is not only a steak but also a sandwich made with shredded steak combined with custom made steak sauce, topped on toasted garlic baguette and served with chips.

"The Philadelphia cheese steak is truly one of the most delightful and beloved foods and with an organised team of chefs, it is prepared in less than 10 minutes,” he says.

Procedure

•Place steak on a flat surface and slice it very thinly.•Heat griddle or grill pan over high heat. Brush steak slices with oil and sautee with custom-made steak sauce with mushrooms, pepper, and onions for about 60 seconds. •Place the mix of the meat and vegetables on half of the bread from end to end. Sprinkle some of the cheese over the mix and melt the cheese. •Toast the combination.

Mebs advises that one must take care when toasting to make sure the food doesn’t burn. "Let the cheese melt just a bit and the bread shouldn’t be as soft but it also shouldn’t be hard for the meal to be perfectly delicious,” he says.

This sandwich is served with chips and is quite the tummy filler.
