Rwandan officials to handle Niger-Zambia Afcon 2015 tie

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has appointed Rwanda match officials to take charge of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Niger and Zambia on October 11.

Hudu Munyemana will be the centre referee for the Group F game that will take place at Stade General Seyni Kountche in Niamey, Niger.

Felicien Kabanda and Theogene Ndagijimana will be the first and second assistant referees respectively, while Issa Kagabo is the fourth official and the match commissioner, Essameldin Abdel Fattah Abdel is from Egypt.

The 39-year-old Fifa referee Hudu, last month handled the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifier match between Burkina Faso and Lesotho where the latter won 2-0 in Ouagadougou.

Zambia head to Niger in search of their first Group F win in the 2015 Africa Cup qualifiers.

Honour Janza’s team has only one point from two games played and lies third in Group F behind second placed Mozambique and leaders Cape Verde who have two and six points respectively.

Niger is bottom of Group F with one point. Chipolopolo skipper Christopher Katongo said Saturday was an important day for the team.
