Rwanda is 118th, jumping three steps from 121st where it has been holed up since August.
The improvement comes after Rwanda national football team, Amavubi Stars hammered Liberia 4-0 in the last group five qualifiers of the 2008 Ghana qualifiers in Kigali recently.
Though, the country has been placed in the poor ranked countries in the world, Rwanda’s recent decline has been attributed to the country’s poor showing the just concluded qualifiers for next year African Nations cup.
In the Eastern African region, Uganda is placed on the 100th position, with DR Congo on 101st, Tanzania on 106th, Burundi 110th while Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya lie on 112th, 113th, and 115th respectively.
Still on the African continent, Nigeria leads the chart of the top African countries on the Fifa rankings.
Nigeria is 23rd, followed by Cameroon on 25th with Ivory Coast coming on 27th position respectively.
Meanwhile, Fifa World Cup holders Italy climbed ahead of Argentina and Brazil in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking.
