Editor,

NEWS THAT the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) has upheld life sentences against three men for masterminding the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi is welcome development.

It is a reminder to war and hate mongers that justice is alive and will one day catch up with wrongdoers no matter how long it may take.

Indeed, many lessons should be learnt from how justice has caught up with these three masterminds of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

And, the Government of Rwanda deserves credit for ensuring that the survivors of the Genocide get justice by supporting ICTR and calling for trial of other Genocide suspects in exile.
