WORLD football governing body, Fifa has issued International Transfer certificates (ITCs) to ten players allowing them to feature for Rwandan clubs in the 2014/15 season.
On 1 October 2010, the International Transfer Matching System (TMS) became mandatory for all the Fifa 209 member associations and over 6,500 football clubs engaging in international transfers of professional male players.
TMS is an electronic system designed to monitor international transfers, the movement of a professional player’s registration from one association to another in two different countries accompanying a change of a player’s club affiliation.
The international transfers, which started on August 25 and expired on Sept 30, saw 10 players being allowed to play in Rwanda while 7 were released from Rwandan clubs.
Players allowed to feature in Rwanda’s league include; Andre Mazimpaka who joined Espoir FC from Burundi’s Vital’O, Miamy Mbakiye joined SC Kiyovu from Vital’O, Frank Ndayishimiye joined Amagaju from Vital’O, Hamadi Ndikumana joined Espoir FC from Vital’O while APR FC signed Issa Bigirimana from Lydia Ludic and Yannick Bukebuke from Club Etoile de Dieu, all from Burundi.
Others are; Saaka Beyagala from Bright Stars in Uganda to Sunrise FC, Kasolo Mustafa from Kenya’s Sofapaka to Gicumbi FC, Ahmed Umar from Karuturi Sports in Kenya to Gicumbi FC and Badru Bunkeddeko, who joined Sunrise FC from Uganda’s Mutundwe Lions FC.
Those released include; Othieno Deogracious from SC Kiyovu to Uganda’s URA, Medi Kagere from Rayon Sports to FK Tirana in Albania, Laudit Mavugo from SC Kiyovu to Burundi’s Vital’O, Pekeyake Tuyisenge from Kiyovu to Vital’O, Christian Mbirizi from Vital’O and goalie Evariste Mutuyimana from Kiyovu to Kenya’s Sofapaka FC.
