He says his biggest passion is music and fashion. In an interview with Dean Karemera, he gives insight into his fashion world. How would you describe your fashion style?
My clothing style changes according to the weather and events I have to attend but I like fitting clothes like skinny jeans; sometimes with a little stretch and of course paired with stylish good quality shoes.
Do you have anything in particular that inspires your sense of fashion?
Anything new but not popular inspires me to create my style. However, Bruno Mars and John Legend’s styles inspire me the most.
Where do you shop for clothes?
I do my shopping at Mr. Price in Kigali City Tower. But I do have some guys who get me new clothes and I also do online shopping.
What is the most you have ever paid for an outfit or a pair of shoes?
Oh my God. I think that would be a pair of Louis Vuitton boots. They set me back by USD 150 (Rwf 105,000).
What are your favourite fashion accessories?
My Omega watch and a stainless steel bracelet. I don’t like sunglasses.
What is your best fashion style on a woman?
A simple and short dress paired with high heels and a matching handbag.
What is your favourite cologne?
I like La Terre d’Hermes by Hermes.
Does your job dictate your dress code?
Not exactly… our dress code is casual smart.
What type of footwear are you most comfortable with?
Designer soft loafers like Hermes, Calvin Klein and others.
Any fashion tips to share?
Any person’s appearance affects their respect and credibility. It is important to be careful when choosing a style. Besides, being smart doesn’t require a big budget. The timing and unique sense of style matter most.
