THE U23 VOLLEYBALL national team head coach Paul Bitok is expected to name his provisional squad on Friday which will enter camp for the African U23 world championship qualifiers slated to be held in Egypt from November 4-16.
According to Bitok, the national team will kick off preparations for the upcoming tournament next week.
"The U23 Rwanda National team selection is going on and the technical department will be releasing the list of players on Friday at 11am in FRVB office,” Bitok said.
The Kenyan technician is expected to summon influential players like setter Ivan Mahoro Nsabimana, who joined Ural Federal University in Russia on a four-year course in Sport Science and Physical Education.
Others include Japan-based Nelson Muragwa; Kigali Volleyball club left attacker, Samuel ‘Tyson’ Niyogisubizo, APR impressive youngster Yves Mutabazi and Inatek libero Peter Bigirimana among others.
The two finalists will represent Africa in the FIVB Men’s U23 World Championships 2015.
Players, who are eligible to participate in this competition are those born after January 1, 1993.
Tunisia and Egypt represented Africa in the first Men’s U23 World Championship in Brazil 2013.
