NEWLY PROMOTED national football league side Isonga FC are in hunt for a new head coach to replace Yves Rwasamanzi, who resigned last month.
Rwasamanzi led the youthful side for one season they spent in the second tier division but quit following a misunderstanding with his bosses.
However, Isonga president Gregoire Muramira told Saturday Sport yesterday that the former La Jeunesse coach is free to re-apply for the job like any other candidate.
"He (Rwasamanzi) can apply for the job if he wants too, he won’t be denied that chance. We recognise what he did for the club last season, leading the team back to the top league,” Muramira said in phone interview on Friday.
Isonga, who earned promotion to topflight league alongside Sunrise FC, replaced Esperance FC and AS Muhanga who were both relegated to second division.
Isonga FC will start their campaign away to Etincelles FC at Umuganda stadium on October 18.
