Kampala to host EAC Local Authorities Sports and Cultural games

THIS YEAR'S 6th edition of the East Africa Local Authorities Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) games will be held in Kampala, Uganda and will run from September 28 to October 4.

THIS YEAR’S 6th edition of the East Africa Local Authorities Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) games will be held in Kampala, Uganda and will run from September 28 to October 4.

The games are intended to promote the spirit of integration and restore the natural order of free movement in region to attract peace, security and investment that will transform the livelihood of the citizens.

Rwanda will be represented by City of Kigali AS Kigali Football Club, Culture troupe Indatirwabahizi and Kigali Volleyball Club while Nyarugenge District will send a women volleyball team; Kicukiro District will send a men’s basketball team while Gasabo will send a basketball team in the women category.

The games normally attract teams from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and Republic of Southern Sudan.
