Dear editor,

In the history of UN peacekeepers, there are very few cases where the international body the UN has managed to disarm rebels.

Their failure to do so in the DRC where there is one of the biggest tragic conflicts in the world is no surprise. The nature of the deep forests in the DRC, coupled with the sluggish efforts to disarm the armed bandits makes UN efforts futile.

So if they have failed what next? Let them tell us what they feel will end the violence.
