Rwanda Football Federation (Ferwafa) president Vincent Nzamwita (pictured) has been appointed on the Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments.
He was appointed on Wednesday in Zurich, Switzerland to oversee the provision of the regulations applicable to these tournaments and the Olympic Charter.
News of Nzamwita’s appointment was confirmed by the Ferwafa secretary general, Olivier Mulindahabi.
Nzamwita will sit on the Fifa committee which is headed by Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa from Bahrain and deputised by Brazilian Marco Polo Del Nero.
Others on the committee are: Burundian Lydia Nsekera, Fok Timothy Tsun Ting (Hong Kong), Mircea Sandu (Romania), Michail Kassabov (Bulgaria), Yousuf Al Serkal (United Arab Emirates), Gabriel Ameyi (Togo), Serafin Boutureira (Venezuela), Serafin Boutureira (Jamaica), Osiris Guzman (Dominican Republic), Gurcharan Singh (Malaysia), Mahamoud Moctar (Chad) Sufri Bolkiah (Brunei Darussalam), Mirabror Usmanov (Uzbekistan) while Braziallian Guilherme Marques is Special Advisor.
