The team which leaves for Nairobi today is confident on staging a victorious performance in Kenya.
Speaking to Times Sport, Isimbi said that they will be going to Nairobi to challenge for the trophy.
"We will show them that rugby in Rwanda is alive. We are confident to win and bring the title home,” he said.
The Safaricom 7’s U 19 tournament was introduced to give chance to young players to showcase their talents and continue to develop their skills up to the senior level.
The Rwanda Rugby U 19 team is delighted to be among teams that have competed in this tournament since 2012. This year’s competition will take place at Kasarani Stadium
"It will be the first time for many of our players to play in such a big tournament, so it is good for Rwanda rugby in general,” said acting head coach Adams Juma.
"We need to draw the attention of Rwandans where ever they are, so that they can support us and together we can lift the flag higher,” he added.
The U-19 team:
Diego Dushime Mucungura, Jean Luc Tuyisenge, Ombeni Iradukunda, Fidel Fils Iradukunda, Patrick Ikorukwishaka, Carlos Isimbi (c), Jacques Bigirimana, Robert Mugisha, Heritie Habimana, Abdoul Fils Ntakirutimana, Jackson Rukundo and David Ujeneza.
