The Federation of East African Secondary School Sports Associations (Feassa) has picked Rwanda as hosts of the 2015 annual regional edition.
The development was confirmed yesterday by Paterne Rwigema, Director of Sports at the Ministry of Education.
Rwanda will be hosting the regional post-primary Games for its second time after organising the 7th edition for the first time in 2008.
"Our boys and girls did fairly well in Dar-es-Salaam. We are going to set-up an organising committee for next year’s edition in November so that by January, 2015 everything will be in place,” says Rwigema
This year, Rwanda finished third in general classification behind Kenya and Uganda and will be looking to use home advantage next year.
"Early preparations are key to success. We are going to provide knowledgeable coaches to schools’ teams and offer other necessities as early as possible so that we can win as many medals as possible next year,” he explained.
