Rwanda’s Aspez needed post-match penalties to advance into the finals of this year’s E. Africa Games. The hosts saw off Kenya’s Wiyeta after a 5-4 penalty shoot out.

Today, Aspez takes on Kenya’s Bishop Njenga and all hopes are on Aspez as they try to secure a title for the hosts who are disillusioned by a poor all-round display in the Games.

In the boy’s category, it will be an all Uganda final today as defending champions Kitende clash with arch-rivals Old Kampala.

Rwanda’s St. Joseph failed the semi-final hurdle after a 1-0 defeat against Old Kampala.

Kitende reached the final after a similar score line against Mehta (Uganda). Meanwhile, Kenya dominated proceedings in volleyball and rugby.

In an all Kenyan final, Kakamega pipped title favorites Musingu after a gripping final at the Red Cross grounds. Full time ended 6-6 forcing the games into penalties.

Kakamega’s star kicker Felix Ayange made their day ending the match at 18-16.

In Volleyball, Rwanda lost its crown after falling to Kenya’s Malaba.

Rwanda’s CXR lost 1-3 to the Kenyans who played some phenomenon volleyball in the final.
