The national football league champions Atraco are in no hurry to find a replacement for Jean Marie Ntagwabira, the taxi-men club has confirmed.

The club vice president Issa Ngenzi told Times Sport yesterday that the club will take its time to find a perfect replacement for the ex- APR and Atraco tactician.

"There is no need to hurry in finding another coach because Emmanuel Ruremesha (Ntagwabira’s assistant) is currently in charge of the club and we have confidence in him,” Ngenzi said.

However, separate reports close to the club have revealed that Atraco is working round the clock to find a replacement ahead of the new season and the lucrative African Champions League. But the club has refuted reports linking them with Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee.

The former APR and Tusker coach was sacked a month after helping Tusker win the 2008 East and Central African Club title and has since been linked with a move back to Rwanda.

With Rayon Sports and APR contented with their respective coaches, Atraco looks Mulee’s sole destiny should he return to Rwanda. It is the second time that Atraco have lost a coach under unclear circumstances in the top flight.

Uganda’s Sam Ssimbwa was the first victim after guiding the club to the second preliminary round of the Caf Confederations Cup three years ago.

And now, Ntagwabira becomes the second tactician to part ways with the club despite guiding them to their first ever National league title.

Atraco are also said to have signed a couple of players in a bid to strengthen the team ahead of these engagements (African Champions League and National league) although Ngenzi declined to give details insisting that the new batch of players would be made public very soon.
