Police handball club moved 6 points clear at the top of the league table after beating ES Kigoma 39-17 at Kimisagara Youth sports centre on Saturday.
Police has now 39 points in 13 matches, six points ahead of the defending champions Gicumbi. Police remains with two games while Gicumbi has five games still to play.
If Police win their remaining games including the one against Gicumbi, they will have 45 points and if Gicumbi win their four games they will be level on points and the champions will be decided on goal difference.
However, if Gicumbi win all their five games, including on against Police, they will be champions.
Elsewhere, APR moved to the third position with 29 points after beating GS St Alloys 29-22 over the weekend.
