…post pictures of sick friends in hospital. If there is anything social media does very well then it is broadcasting stupidity when in the hands of stupid people. What is this nonsense of posting a picture of your friend lying in a hospital bed on Facebook? How is that supposed to help them heal faster? Is it not enough to inform us without adding that picture where his leg is suspended in the air like a flag pole? I bet when we click the Like button he will just stand up and leave hospital, right? Well this is nothing but disrespect to the patients.

…don’t know how to conduct themselves in public. The other day I saw someone do something so embarrassing that I immediately broke into prayer asking God to help me restrain myself from beating him like a mother disciplining an errant child. Imagine at an international conference in Serena, this joker decided to put his phone on loud speaker to listen to BBC’s Kinyarwanda programme while standing with other delegates! As if that was not enough, this fellow from Musanze, was later heard grumbling about how Serena had not prepared ‘real’ food like cassava. That guy needs your prayers too.

…enter public places and stare at everyone. I have noticed this annoying habit several times and I think it should also be stopped. I am talking about the confused fellows who walk into a restaurant or coffee shop and stare at every single person. If you are supposed to meet someone then tell that person to tell you how they are dressed and where they are seated so that you do not look like a retarded child looking for a parent at a circus park. People who do this annoy me because in my mind I am always wondering, ‘has he come for a meal or to conduct a census on the people here?’

…never believe you when you tell them you don’t have money. As a writer, money has really not been a good friend. In fact, if I saw a huge amount of cash in my house I would call police so we can help trace the owner (that is not so true). But anyway, I really hate people who doubt when I tell them that I do not have money. I know I have the body of a struggling CEO but you have to believe me when I say that I am down on cash. It is annoying to start dismissing such information when you are not an employee of Bank of Kigali and you have not seen the small tin with my coins that I keep under my bed. When I have no money and you insist that I have, you only make me more angry and hungry. So, stop it.
