Rayon Sports head coach Jean Francois Losciuto believes his weak squad will not contend for trophies in the forthcoming season.
The Belgian tactician Losciuto revealed that his squad has blunt striking force which will make it impossible for the Nyanza-based club to vie for top honours.
"It is hard to expect trophies from a team without strikers, who are able to score goals. In Rayon sports, we still lack a potential lead striker to help our club earn points,”
"All those who came didn’t make any mark to impress the club thus the reason we are still searching for potential strikers and unless this issue is solved, then we will need miracles to even win a single trophy next season,”
"We have searched for some elite players to replace the void left by Cedric Amissi, Kambale Salita Gentil and Medie Kagere Medie but the financial constraints have hindered our efforts to make any signing,” he added.
Over the weekend, Rayon Sports finished third in two-day pre-season competition which was organised by Etincelles. Police FC won the two-day tourney.
Rayon Sports will start their league quest with a tricky date against Amagaju FC due to be held at Kigali Regional Stadium on Sunday, September 21.
