LAST YEAR’S UAE Exchange and Express Money Women’s T20 champions Victory Cricket Club start their title defence today against Charity CC at Kicukiro Oval.

The team skipper Jean D’Arc Sibo says that their wish is to replicate what happened last year with victory in today’s opener.

She said: "All the players are in good mood and ready to repeat last year’s success.”

Meanwhile, Charity Cricket Club captain Claudine Uwase said that they too, are also ready to win the opening match of this year’s tournament.

"We know that we are playing against a very experienced side, a team that won two trophies last season it’s not going to be an easy game for us but we shall work hard to prove that we are no pushovers,” vowed Uwase.

Elsewhere in the men’s UAE Exchange and Express Money 50 overs premier league, Challengers will be up against Right Guards at Kicukiro Oval on Sunday.
