National football league side Etincelles FC based in Rubavu district has organised a pre-season tournament this weekend ahead of the forthcoming 2014/2015 campaign. The two-day competition will attract three Rwandan clubs and one DR Congo side according to the official in charge of youth and social affairs in Rubavu district, Janvier Murenzi. DC Virunga will be the only foreign side in the four-team competition which will attract Rayon Sports, Police, Etincelles and all matches will be staged at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu. Ladjab Bizumuremyi’s side, Etincelles will battle it out with 7-time league champions Rayon while Police will be up against Virunga on Saturday with winners meeting in the final on Sunday while losers will tussle it out in the third- place play-off match. Meanwhile, league new entrants Sunrise FC will host APR FC, AS Kigali and Mukura VS in another four-team pre-season tourney over the weekend.
