AFTER quitting Infinity records, Rwandan female rapper and local radio presenter Aisha Uwimana, aka Ciney has denied reports that she has crossed to music powerhouse Kina Music.
She was reacting to media reports which claimed that the singer had reached a deal with Kina.
Speaking to The NewTimes Ciney said: "I don’t know where these rumours came from because I haven’t decided where to go and who to work with at the moment. Although I am currently working on my new video of Igire with Producer Bernard Bagenzi at Incredible records, I haven’t made any endorsement deals with any label.”
When contacted, Kina music boss Clément Ishimwe also denied the rumours. "Those are lies because I haven’t had any discussions with Ciney about any endorsements at the moment.”
The rapper had signed a three year recording deal with Infinity Records hoping it would boost her music career but quit mid-way citing breach of contract by the music company.
Ciney has collaborated with various local musicians including Jay Polly, D-Pinc, Knowless, Paccy and Lil-P among others. Her most successful songs include Game of Love, Tuma Bavuga, Nkunda and Dogoni.
