Bank of Kigali (BK) shares were the most traded at the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) today, contributing to the Rwf 4.4 million increase in daily turnover compared to yesterday, the market report indicates.
A total of 37,200 BK and 2,200 Bralirwa shares changed owners in four deals during the day leading to a turnover of Rwf 10.8 million, up from Rwf 6.4 million yesterday.
BK shares traded at between Rwf 260 and Rwf 265 and closed at Rwf 265 each, up by Rwf 5 from yesterday’s Rwf 260 a share closing price whereas Bralirwa shares traded and closed at Rwf 450 each unchanged from yesterday.
Kenya Commercial Bank, Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf 185, Rwf 1,200 and Rwf 175 each respectively.
BK’s price rally meant the RSE share index (RSI) went up by 1.03 points to close at 253.78 points from 252.75 points yesterday.
